Remember the Windows 8 device by Asus, which was previously announced weeks back? Well, the pricing will most likely be pegged and based according to Apple’s new tablet, the New iPad. This was recently announced by Asus president Jerry Shen. The report does not exactly specify what he meant by reference – as to whether they plan to go lower that the iPad or compete directly with it.

The FAA or Federal Aviation Administration recently announced its plans of reviewing rules, which govern the usage of portable and electronic devices such as e-readers and tablet PCs during flights. The study will be done and will involve aircraft makers, mobile and technology companies, pilot and flight attendant organizations and the like. The study will re-evaluate the devices that might interfere with flying and those that will not.

There are plenty of criticisms about the iPad Mini, and how it is made to simply crush the competition, and if they go as low as $249 for each device, they will certainly be able to do that. Rumors say that high end versions of the model can go as high as $349, and the average range would be somewhere along the $299 price tag.
