Did Apple Just Drop The iPad 4G Tag for Australia?
If you remember several weeks ago, Australians were disappointed because the new iPad which had WiFi+4G ended up not working because it was not compatible with the cellular networks there. Now, the new iPad is called iPad Wifi+Cellular. The new signage mentions that the product supports fast cellular netweoks but is however not compatible for the WiMax and 4G LTE networks in Ausralia.
Optus’s new 4G LTE network also uses the 1800MHz frequency.
This change was done after the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission filed a case in Federal Court, claiming that Apple misled consumers into buying the product without really delivering what it promised to: http://www.theaustralian.com.au

Truly, rumors on the iPad mini are becoming more stronger than ever, with rumors saying that the iPad Mini might be released by October this year. Rumors are saying that the device will be 7-inches and will cost anywhere around $200 to $250. This would make it a good competition to the very popular mini tablet – Amazon’s Kindle Fire which is sold in the market for $199.
