Sony Corporation – one on the world’s top electronic firms has yet to master the art of creating today’s recently in demand consumer electronic items such as eBook readers and digital music players. Thus, the Sony Tablet S, although already with a price cut of $100 off its original price, doesn’t fare well against Apple’s iPad at all.

The iPad is undoubtedly the most popular tablet of all time – and if you need numbers to back that assertion up, it is safe to say that since iPad application downloads have now reached the three million mark already. Since the launch of the first iPad tablet in 2010, the number of application download has already reached 3 billion – that’s in a span of just a year and several months!

Google is set to release a tablet soon. Shrouded in mystery – we can only speculate about the features of this tablet. Rumors say that it may be a low-cost tablet that is designed to go against Amazon’s Kindle Fire, instead of being a top-range tablet to go against the iPad.
