Microsoft attempts to open its own app store called Windows Store, and it has attempted to woo application developers by giving a contest and a preview of online apps. The contents involves creating apps, and the winners will be the first eight applications which will appear in their app store. While this move has been praised by many, it has also angered a number of app developers and this is because the contest is only open for submissions from the United States of America, Germany, France, India and Japan.

When will Microsoft Open Its App Store?

Microsoft will open its application store, which will be available for everyone who uses tablets, computers and smartphones that functioning on Windows. The vice-president of Windows Web Services, Antoine Leblonde believes that the app store is going to do great as it has a wide reach. He also notes that Microsoft currently operates and powers half-billion computers all around the world. Given this, there is a chance that Windows may outshine Google Android and Apple in the near future.
