I live for this.

No seriously - these are the months I love… the months from Oscar nominations to actual ceremonies (although, if you ask me, it’s criminal that ABC pushed the Academy to put the Oscars into February sweeps and on Sunday night).

I could give chapter and verse of what I love of the Oscars; I am a student of Oscar history, legend and lore. I have favorite moments, favorite dresses, favorite nominees, favorite missed opportunities… and, naturally, Titanic.

Because it’s my first time here with the new car, and I sense an opportunity… I offer up my usual Oscar challenges: first, pick the potential nominees, before the Academy does. Then discuss the actual nominees. Then pick the winners, before the Academy does. Then discuss the show.

I promise my own predictions by the end of the week. Any other contenders?
